RRB NTPC 2026 Age Limit
- Candidates must have 18 year and not exceeded 33 years as on 01/01/2026.
- Lower age limit for all Candidates as on 01/01/2026 are not born after 01/01/2008.
- Upper age limit as on 01/01/2026 are not earlier than for (UR/EWS)- 02/01/1993, for (OBC – NCL)- 02/01/1990, for ( SC/ST)- 02/01/1988
Age Relaxation
- For ST/SC Candidates – 5 years
- OBC (Non- Creamy Layer ) Candidates – 3 Years
- Ex- Servicemen Candidates (UR & EWS)- 3 Year, (OBC-NCL)- 6 Years, (SC&ST)- 8 Years
- For PwBD Candidates – (UR & EWS )- 10 Years, (OBC-NCL)- 13 Years, (ST & SC)- 15 Years.
- Candidates who are serving group C & D – (UR & EWS)- 40 Year of age, ( OBC- NCL ) -43 Year of Age, ( ST & SC ) – 45 Year of Age.
- Candidates who are working in Quasi – Administrative officer of Railway Organisation such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies and Institute – Up to the length of service rendered or 5 Years, which ever is less.
- Female Candidates, who are widowed, Divorced or Judicially Separated from the husband but not married (UR & EWS ) -35 Year of Age, ( OBC- NCL )- 38 Year of Age, (SC & SC) – 40 Year of Age.
Examination Fees
- For all Candidates Examination fees 500/- an ammount of 400/- shall be refunded after appearing 1st Stage CBT.
- For SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PwBD/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) 250/- shall be refunded after appearing 1st Stage CBT.
- The Examination fees shall be refunded only candidates who are appearing 1st Stage CBT.
Important Document Required for Apply online
- Live photo graph of the candidate at the time of filling up the application form. (Ensure that while capturing the photo dress should be non-white it must be dark colour and Ensure that the camera is position at the eye level before capturing the photograph.
- Signature must be on white papper with black ink pen ( the signature must be in running handwriting not in Block, Capital or Disjoint Letter).
- SC/ST Certificate Candidates who are belonging SC/ST Categories must upload SC/ST Certificate to avail free railway pass.
Specifications of uploaded documents
- Signature:- Scan the signed paper using a minimum resolution of 100 DPI in JPG/JPEG Format only with 30 KB to 49 KB.
- SC/ST Certificate must be legible, clear and easily readable. Documents must be in PDF format and file size not greater than 400 KB.
Syllabus
1st stage CBT for all Candidates
- General Awareness – 40 mark
- Mathematics – 30 mark
- General Intelligence and Reasoning – 30 mark
Total 100 mark each question carries 01 mark. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Time for 100 questions will be 90 minute for whor are eligible a Scribe are 120 minute.
2nd Stage CBT
Candidates who are appearing 1st stage CBT they are eligible for the 2nd stage Computer Base Test
- General Awareness -50 mark
- Mathematics -35 mark
- General Intelligence and Reasoning -35 mark
Total 120 no. Of questions each question carries one 01 mark. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Time duration 90 minute for Who are Scribe is 120 minute.
Those who are appearing 2 nd stage CBT are called for Skill test.
SKILL TEST
- Computer based typing skill test – for the post 1. Senior Clark Cum Typist, 2. Junior Account Assistant Cum Typist.
- Computer based Aptitude Test for the post – 1.Station Manager and 2. Traffic Assistant.
